Did You Know . . .

The cookie-cutter shark only grows to be about 20″ but it eats it’s lunch by forming a suction cup with its mouth and then latching onto its prey. Then it turns in a circle and carves a round chunk of flesh out with its razor-sharp teeth and scoops out the meal. Its victim is left with a perfectly round mark that looks like someone used a round cookie cutter on its body.

It may be small, but it comes fully equipped with teeth.
That’s a crummy little creature.
AAAAAAAGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!! Excuse me while I go PEE myself!!!!
aaaah!
It might be small, but damn… it still manages to be utterly terrifying!
(I’m going to have nightmares about this now, Markus!! You’re SO paying my therapy bills!)
Wow. That’s so cool. If I were a flesh eating sea creature, I’d want to be able to do sometime as cool as that!
Eww.
Just. plain. eww.
And scary as fuck, of course.
Baby alien- all I can think of is “Alien” the movie…that mouth!
I like that shark

The things I learn about when I check in on your blog Marcus. Gives a whole new meaning to ‘ignorance is bliss’
The image on your page is actually a Large-tooth Cookie-cutter Shark , Isistius plutodus. The true Cookie-cutter Shark ,Isistius brasiliensis has smaller teeth.
