Box Office for Bethany?

Bethany Hamilton’s shark attack inspired a terribly titled book called Soul Surfer and thanks to America’s insatiable appetite for films about athletes’ insurmountable odds, and young ladies in bikinis, it may be inspiring a movie of the same corny name. The film will be based on Bethany’s ordeal and how, just two and a half months later, she was back on her surfboard.
The Australia Times is reporting that tween director Sean McNamara has committed to direct Soul Surfer after he finishes up his upcoming masterpiece Bratz: The Movie and that casting is currently in session.

I really liked your book. I’m half way through it. What is the date of your new movie release?
I don’t think its very nice to call it corny and terrible. It was an amazing story, and I’m sure A LOT of people appreciate and look up to it.
You people are sick to think her movie is only about girls in bikinis.
