I heard this was based on a true account, because of the pollution in the Han River allsorts of witness accounts portray a weird catfish like monster emerging from the waters edge and devouring unsuspecting passerbyers. I believe in one account the creature ate another catfish creature when attacking a group of people passing across a low bridge.
