Shark Shield Launches New Device

Shark Shield has released the first electronic shark deterrent system specifically designed for surfers. The new system, which retails for about $700, attaches to the tail of any surfboard and generates an electrical field that deters sharks… hopefully.

Um, again….question, wasnt there a company in Oz that invented some anti shark device that could be worn like a watch but they were sued for some copyright infrigement? Anyway one know? I just seems like the technology was there…

I just bought one of these shields… it looks bulky, but i weighs bugger all. I lost a mate to a shark attack while surfing… $700 is bugger all to pay!
