Man Attacked by Stingray in NZ!

A diver is in the hospital with a serious stomach wound after he was nailed in the guts by a stingray off the east coast of New Zealand’s North Island.
Maxwell Wakefield, 46, was diving for crayfish he was attacked. The stingray’s poisonous barb punctured Wakefield’s wetsuit and penetrated his stomach just below the belly button. Yeouch.

stingrays do not attack purposely, they just defend,

i dont think they attack purposely at all, they use to be very peacefull animal. even today ive been diving between 7 of them, and the only thing that happen to u when u come to close is that the ray actualy get away as it sees u
