how come it’s ok to kill cows and chickens and pigs but not seals ?
Is it because they’re cute ?
I’m from Canada and yes they have the seal hunt but it’s to keep the population at bay (otherwise the fish in Canada and the states would be eaten up by the seals and we wouldn’t have any)
We’ve all screwed up the envirionment and now we have to try to keep the balance that we have so it doesn’t get worse.
If the seals eat all the fish then the other animals that eat the fish will starve and then the things that eat those animals will starve too. It’s a big giant cycle. I’m not saying I like the idea at all but it’s something that has to be done.
Why is it hunting is ok and eating meat is ok but seal hunting is this awful crime against nature when all they’re doing is feeding their family’s and keeping the balance is nature ?

You people who condone this make me sick. Is your justification for treating seals like this that cows/chickens/pigs/etc do too?!?!? That’s not a good enough excuse. On the otherside of this argument is that if there wasn’t a demand for this it probably would fade. Why dont we also worry about the idiots who wear fur, aka dead animal skin. Gross.

One inhumane act doesn’t make another acceptable. Only an ignorant person would believe that the seal hunt is exaggerated. The seal hunt activists go to the ice floes every year, sending back fresh video of the carnage. The Canadians only want us to think that it it exaggerated so that we do not expose the real atrocities that go on there.
Tradition is not a good reason to continue such a horrid act. It used to be “tradition” to have people as slaves too, but that stopped and we all got along just find. It used to be “tradition” that a womans place was in the home, and that women did not vote. You can not justify acts based on tradition. Most educated people will see past the excuse of “tradition”.
As for the lack of education in Canada, it amazes me how canadians always are so full of patriotism, yet none of the worlds great people ever come from there. Oh wait, you did give us Pamela Anderson and a couple of wrestlers. No doubt they received a stunning education.
The seal hunt is pointless. It is a small part of the Canadian economy. Therefore, anyone who supports such slaughter for no justifiable reason is severely disturbed.
Again, remember to boycott Canadian seafood until they stop the senseless slaughter! Hitting them in the pocket book is the best way to get them to agree to end the cruelty, since most canadians seem to see nothing wrong with skinning infant animals alive.

killing these baby seals
dog fighting as a sport
killing foxes, chinchillas for fur coats
sending our troops to fatte Bushes’s wallet
torturing and abusing dogs
molesting children
taking advantage of the elder

it should not be acceptable to KILL any animal in this matter. If for comsuption then try to do it in a different manner. THESE ANIMALS FEEL PAIN TOO !!!! THEY HAVE NERVE ENDS JUST LIKE US.
