A 15 ft juvenile minke whale was seen was cruising around Gowanus Bay, the outlet from the mile-long Gowanus Canal in Brooklyn yesterday. It appeared to be in good health at the time. The whale was being monitored overnight, with the hopes that it would decide to leave the area and swim out into the harbor, where the water is deeper. Good luck little whale!
