R.I.P. Yu-chan
Yu-chan, a popular whale shark at the Osaka Aquarium died late Sunday. The cause of the death of the 18 ft female whale shark is unknown. She was believed to have been 12 to 13 years old and had lived at the aquarium since June 2000.
Yu-chan had been transferred to the Marine Biological Research Institute in Tosashimizu on May 7 for treatment after she cam down with some eating problems. R.I.P. Yu-chan!
