Man Gets a Snap on the Hand

An 82-year-old got bit by a gator late Tuesday while he was fishing at a pond near his home in South Carolina.

Ralph Sens had just caught a fish and as bent down to take it off the hook an alligator between 5 and 6 feet long came out of the water and bit him on his left hand and wrist.

The man tried to treat the wounds himself but later went to Beaufort Memorial Hospital, where he was bandaged up.
