Five Dead Dolphins Wash Ashore… With Bullet Wounds

Federal officials are investigating the death of 5 dolphins that washed ashore in San Diego with bullet wounds. The dolphins were discovered a couple weeks ago between Carlsbad State Beach and Oceanside Harbor. Up to $2,500 is being offered for information on the deaths. If caught, the perp could face civil penalties of up to $12,000 or a criminal fine of up to $20,000, as well as jail time.
Harassing or killing dolphins is a violation of the Marine Mammal Protection Act of 1972.

Sometimes a fisherman will shoot dolphins because they scare away fish or they steal bait and generally get in the way of their fishing. Especially enterprising fishermen will kill a dolphin to use as shark bait. But you have to be a particularly cold-blooded bastard to shoot up marine mammals.

Those responsible need to be strung up by the nads to a tree and left to dangle there until they pop off and hopefully they bleed to death. What pieces of sh_ _!
Maybe those dolphins were the victims of gang violence. They might have been on Orca turf and got capped. Orca’s got to represent yo! Can’t we all just get along?
thats true, shooting dolphins cuz of the way they steal bait and stuff. iv seen videos of orcas doing that on youtube, i though it was funny. the fisherman got all mad and started screaming at the em, id laugh if an orca stole my fish! big deal if a dolphin eats your fish, get over it, its just a fish. leave the dolphins alone, its only a fish!
