Jellyfish Fever

More than 90 people were stung in the past two days by jellyfish in Hawaii.
Twenty people on a dolphin dive off of the Leeward Coast got stung as they surfaced into a “field” of jellyfish. Fifty-five people were stung in Waikiki over the last two days and another 30 people were stung on the Leeward Coast today. Dang.
Lifeguards this morning counted 700 jellyfish up and down the Leeward Coast and 297 jellyfish in the Waikiki area. That’s like 1,000 jellyfish!
The city’s Ocean Safety Division advises beachgoers to stay out of the water. I agree.
