2 More Bites in Volusia County

Two more victims were added to the list this weekend. One was a 19-year-old surfer, while the other was a 15-year-old girl. Both were attacked near Ponce Inlet Jetty at New Smyrna Beach this weekend.

The bites were minor, but they bring the total number of attacks up to eight for Volusia County.

    And this was the area trying to shed its “Shark Bite Capitol” moniker???? Minor or not, a shark bite is a shark bite and they seem to really be biting over there in Volusia County…I’ll be staying away, thank you….

    So, the question here is, how close were they to the jetty? I mean, i dunno about ya’ll, but swimming close to where someone is fishing with cut bait seems kinda foolish to me…
