Practical Joker Puts Prosthetic Leg in Shark’s Mouth

Canadian police and coast guards on both sides of the border went on the alert on Sunday morning when fishermen off the coast of Nova Scotia reported a shark with a leg in its mouth. The appendage turned out to be a prosthetic limb that a fisherman attached to the shark.

It all started when some fishermen hauled a shark on board and one of the men decided it would be funny if he unhooked his prosthetic limb and put it in the shark’s belly. But news of the tomfoolery began crackling across shortwave radios and a crew aboard another boat (not realizing it was a joke) contacted the Canadian Coast Guard.
