Hungry Shark Lurking Off Oregon Coast
Wednesday, October 17th, 2007

It wasn’t a good weekend for two mammals on the northern Oregon coast – a seal and a sea lion both washed up with what appear to be major shark bites from a great white.
On Friday, a dead harbor seal drifted onto the beach at Seaside with a two-foot chunk taken out of its back. Apparently, the entire backbone is gone. Ew.
Meanwhile, an extremely unhappy California Sea Lion has been resting on a beach since Saturday with a foot-wide shark bite in it’s lower back.

It wouldn’t be so bad if they would just eat a complete meal instead of this endless snacking.
sucks the sealion has that bite they should help it out
Why don’t I ever see anything interesting when I go there?
The coolest thing I’ve seen was an old float made of an old painted milk carton.
O, and I saw a rock fish once.
Someone should help the injured sea lion instead of just watching it suffer like the jack ass in the picture.
Hey Courtney…..still time to drop the Cheetos and get off your large seat to save this poor animal. Might actually lead to an exercise regiment…..which might actually become a trend. Obesity is biggest burden on society today.
OMG ,
I went ther like1 million times and i never see stuff like that!
i think its crule who would watch a animal suffa i wood save it
who would watch them suffer there only looking for food and trying to have a happy life.
