Stingray Spears Fergie (No, Not that One…)

Fergie (the golden retriever, not the songbird) was pierced through the shoulder by a stingray’s barb while swimming in Ocean Grove on Monday night.

The barb just missed three-year-old Fergus’ heart!

His owner, Jaynie Powell, said the barb hit an artery in his shoulder and he lost about a liter of blood.

A vet stitched up Fergie and he is expected to make a full recovery.
