Shark Bite Reported in Florida

Jon Humphrey paddled out about 50 to 100 feet off the beach across from Patrick Air Force Base in Florida to catch some waves, when another surfer near them began shouting “shark!”
Humphrey said he looked up and a guy was punching a shark that was on his foot!
According to Humphrey, the guy made it back to the beach and was holding his foot. Humphrey grabbed a T-shirt and wrapped t around the wound (which appeared to be bad enough to require stitches.)
The man, who was not identified, refused treatment.
