Holy Sid Fishious! A savage snakehead has been caught in Britain for the very first time. Snakeheads eat everything and have even been reported to eat people!

The monster fish, which originally comes from south-east Asia, has a mouthful of teeth and can walk on land and survive out of water for up to four days.

News that the 2ft specimen had been hooked in an English river caused widespread panic. Snakeheads are the ultimate invasive species… if it starts breeding, it’s a disaster.

Andy Alder caught the snakehead on the River Witham near North Hykeham, Lincs. Experts who studied photos of Andy’s catch confirmed it was the predator.

Adult snakeheads can grow up to 3 ft long and weigh as much as 44 lbs. Head for higher ground!
