Fossil of Giant Sea Monster Discovered
Thursday, February 28th, 2008

Fossilized remains of a 150-million-year-old 15-metre pliosaur were found in the Arctic island chain of Svalbard. At 50 feet long, it’s the biggest marine predator of all time. With jaws four times the strength of a crocodile’s, and razor sharp teeth, i’m sure it did some major damage.

What if they are’nt really extinct and are still out their somewhare terrorizing everything in it’s path.We are only begining to scratch the suface of discovering ocean life. You know all those swimmers who were never found?heres your answer!Beware offshore spearfishermen!
Well I don’t know which one you mean. If you mean the little one on this picture, then I have no comment. If you mean the big ons; that’s Bèr.. We have him here in The Netherlands in the Maastricht Historic Museum, we found his head near the Museam.. It’s 5 years old now so.. Little late news =) Ow and Bèr is a Mosasaurus.
At 15m it is around the size of Megalodon, though, the speculations for the maximum size of a full grown Megalodon go all the way to 20m. So that would make Meg the biggest predator, but, Pliosaur would no doubt be the apex predator of it’s time.
