Ok, Seriously… Another Bite in New Smyrna?

Yep, for the third time in 3 days, someone has been bitten by a shark in New Smyrna Beach.

The most recent victim’s encounter was just before noon today. David Alger, 18, had just hopped off a wave when the shark took a chunk out of his left foot.

This makes 10 bites so far and all 10 bites have been in New Smyrna Beach.

Looks like it might be a record year for New Smyrna.

I’m surprised someone hasn’t done a documentary on New Smyrna to try and uncover why it is so “sharky”….it’s crazy how many shark bites/attacks are going on out there…what is it? the sandbar formations? fishing pier? a river mouth nearby? is the water warmer/colder? I, for one, am curious….

Global warming must be killing off the fish population, so sharks are turning to humans as an alternate food source.

Yeah, global warming. Dude I have gas today – I’m sure it’s not the Mexican food. It must be global warming.

    Idiot.

New Smyrna has GOT to be like Mecca for sharks. Unbelievable! And still people swim and surf there.
