just got back from new smyrna… it was wonderful! i was a bit south of the jetty… water was beautiful, beach was beautiful… people were really nice. of course i was scared at first about the sharks from reading this blog, but i quickly realized that it is a silly fear. be smart when you are in the water… and yes bites still sometimes happen… but accidents happen everywhere. don’t let it ruin your vacation!
Florida does not look like a very safe place to be….
If a shark tries to bite you, kick it in the nuts.
By all means, be scared of New Smyrna Beach, our great beaches, our lifeguards every 50 feet, our fabulous weather, our no traffic….stay away….the locals love it!
i love it nsb mom
I love it too - I’m at Canaveral Nat’l Seashore all the time.
Ummmm, why the hell does anyone swim in Floridas’ waters if its so god damn bloody dangerous? Its like ASKING for trouble…
Shark attacks, rip current drowning, boating accidents AND lightning. Wow sounds tempting..
I’m with NSB Mom… stay away! As a matter of fact ALL of Florida is bad news.. stay away! More room for us natives…
