Four Bodies Found In Shark-Infested Waters Off Bahamas… One Being Devoured by a Shark

At least four people believed to be Haitian nationals died from an apparent shark attack when their boat capsized off the Bahamas on Sunday.

Bahamian police discovered the bodies of the victims and a capsized 27-foot boat 13 miles west of Grand Bahama Island. More people may have died from shark attack as indicated by the amount of blood in the scene, Bahamas police spokesman Basil Rahming said, according to the Miami Herald.

Rescuers saw one body being devoured by sharks.

Before the Bahamian police came, a U.S. tourist boat from Florida found the capsized boat. A crew from the boat dove and retrieved three bodies, including two from the overturned boat’s cabin, as sharks circled.

An ensuing search for survivors yielded nothing and was called off Monday.
