Gator Rips Teens Arm Off!

Kasey Edwards, 18, was swimming with some friends at Nubbin Slough, a canal near Lake Okeechobee, FL on Sunday when an alligator decided to rip his arm off.
The gator dragged Kasey under the water five times, then took his left arm off about 4 inches above the elbow. During the struggle, Kasey managed to gouge the gator’s eye and it finally spun around and swam off. Kasey didn’t even know he was missing an arm until he was swimming back to shore.
Later, the gator was caught and Kasey’s arm was found inside its stomach, but the arm was too damaged to reattach. Bummer.

Yikes! Does anyone else find it a bit ironic he was swimming in a place called Nubbin Slough? Poor guy, get better soon!

how do u reattach a limb when it has been in a gators tummy? unsanitary!!
