Another Shark Bite on the Isle of Palms!

A shark attack on Isle of Palms kept beachgoers out of the water Friday afternoon. Emergency officials say the victim, a 24 year-old man, is in stable condition. Authorities say he was paddling out on a surf or boogie board when he was bit by a shark on his arm.

The attack happened near 31st avenue around 1:45 pm.

Police warned swimmers to get out of the water after the attack, but swimmers ventured back in after the evacuation notice was lifted.

Smart move people… this is the second shark bite in two weeks on the Isle of Palms. A Columbia man said he was bitten on the hand by a shark near the 7th avenue entrance.

Seriously, I love your website. Shark attacks both terrify and fascinate me. I particularly love how up to the minute your site is! The Jaws thing for Martha’s Vineyard is awesome. A few years ago, a 20′ Great White took up residence in a tidal lagoon. Not sure if you have anything on that! She liked the lagoon as the fish couldn’t escape. Needless to say, the homeowners weren’t thrilled.
