Huge Tiger Shark Caught in Australia!
Tuesday, August 5th, 2008

An angler caught what is believed to be the biggest tiger shark ever captured in Western Australian waters over the weekend.
The 12 ft shark weighed nearly 630 lbs.
It was caught during the Dampier Classic fishing competition and the event organizer, Dennis Brian-Smith, says the shark will not go to waste
The shark parts will be sent away for scientific research.

One of my shark books says the largest Tiger ever seen was 24″… that’s all I got.
Er, 24′ (feet).
ARGH. What a waste. Why can’t they measure, tag, and release?
“shark will not go to waste” what a load of crap. I agree with Bren, why not photograph it, measure it, and release it? Why not work with some shark scientists and tag it if necessary? Testosterone macho freak jerkhead!
People who kill Sharks should be shot in the genitals so that they can’t reproduce.
