That’s One Ugly Fish… And it Growls Too

Ruben Rodriguez caught a fish so ugly and with such a nasty personality in Ascarate Lake in Els Paso, TX.
The fish had humanlike teeth, growled, was 15 inches long, bit a hook in half!
The fish turned out to be a red-bellied pacu, a fresh-water fish native to South America, eats both meat and vegetation, and can reach 3 1/2 feet in length.
In other words, mind your toes if you plan on taking a dip in Ascarate Lake.

I always found pacus to be quite pretty.
