It Was Somebody’s Lucky Day…

Surfer Ben Vining felt like a sitting duck after a shark knocked him from his board at Byron Bay, AU on Saturday.
The 29-year-old had just spotted a pod of dolphins off the point when he noticed a large shadow below him.
At first he thought it was another dolphin but before he could get a second look there was a large bang and Vining was lifted up into the air.
He fell off his board into the water and when he looked back he saw a huge shark thrashing around.
A now board-less Vining had to wait like 15 seconds for a wave to come along and carry him to shore.
Count your blessings Ben.
