Say OUCH! Shark Bites Man’s Arm as He Poses For Photos! at Swim At Your Own Risk

Say OUCH! Shark Bites Man’s Arm as He Poses For Photos!

Stephen Perkins, 52, hauled a Blue Shark on board his boat off Lundy Island in the UK on Saturday but the shark wasn’t in the mood for photos.

As Perkins was preparing to unhook the shark, it sank its teeth into his wrist, earning Perkins a place in history as the first documented case of a man being bitten by a Blue Shark off British waters.

Perkins lost a lot of blood and needed reconstructive surgery. He had to be taken by helicopter to North Devon District Hospital in Barnstaple. He was released on Sunday.

The man says he’ll go fishing again, but he’ll will remember to pick the shark up by the blunt end next time.

These sharks may have a reflex type reaction.
Kevin McGrinder once witnessed a landed shark jump
towards a person - it probably had more to do with it’s instinct to get back into the water than trying to do harm to the individual.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery!
