Shark Bites Surfer in Kaaawa! at Swim At Your Own Risk

Shark Bites Surfer in Kaaawa!

A 40-year-old surfer is in serious condition after being bitten by a shark at the Crouching Lion surf spot in Kaaawa. The man was rushed to Queen’s Medical Center.

The victim (who apparently might lose his leg) was surfing about 300 yards off shore. The shark bit him on the calf and pulled him off his board, and then it bit him again on the thigh. He also had cuts on his hands from the shark’s teeth when he stuck his hands in its mouth trying to get away. The man managed to make the 15 minute paddle back to shore where paramedics took him to the hospital.
