30 Stitches Later…

Geoff Johnson needed 30 stitches in his right leg after a little run-in with a 6ft reef shark.

He hooked the shark while out fishing off Darwin Harbour, AU on Sunday. Johnson reeled in the shark and tried to grab it by the tail so he could remove the hook but the shark fought back, biting him on his right knee.

Then, to make matters worse, the fish hook got stuck in his leg… ew… so while the shark thrashed around, the hook ripped a huge gash in Johnson’s leg and then then the blood started gushing… about 2 liters.

Friends got Johnson to the hospital where he was stitched up.

Sounds like the hook did more damage than the shark.
