That’s One Big Shark!
Saturday, November 8th, 2008

A 30-foot-long basking shark was hauled to shore by brothers Justin and Joseph MacDonald Thursday night in Alma, Canada. The shark, estimated to weigh two tonnes, had gotten tangled up in the anchors and ropes of some lobster traps. It took the crews of two boats (about 10 men) to untangle the lines and tow the shark ashore.

That’s a shame.
That is such a sad story- That shark had to be so old to be so big. To die for such a wasteful reason- very sad.
Very sad indeed. They sliced the thing open and let the guts spill out for all to see and then they tossed it over the side of the harbour right there in the village.
We REALLY need to stop throwing our crap into the ocean so we don’t kill another thousand creatures.
