I wonder what drives these animals to do this.

    the devil does

Military Sonar Tests. The Navy basically admits it. But the devil is a good second guess.

Does the sonar sound like other whales or something? What does it do that causes whales to go ape-shit?

US Navy Sonar can be louder than a jet engine. Since many Whales communicate/hunt/etc. through echolocation and have their own sonar, the Navy Sonar can literally drive them insane. Sometimes their ears explode…good times.

You know if we built a giant brick wall in the water across beaches about a 50 feet off shore just imagine the rewards! Animals wouldn’t beach themselves and people would be able to swim in saftey without sharks and barracudas chewing on them.
