wow she almost sounds proud that someone caught this animal and will fin it! How horrible…what ever did this animal do to anybody dang this is a horrible world when even the media is proud that we kill these animals for no reason!
What a disgusting waste. Who are these ignorant people? Ever heard of Catch & Release you idiots?
Before you get your nickers in a twist, I’m NOT an environmentalist. Just a Floridian, and a thoughful angler for the past 25 years. At a time when oceans worldwide are in decline it’s downright stupid to be celebrating such an act. This is not something that should be rewarded. It should be seen for what it is–a travesty.
“It’s a good thing that this one is out of the ocean” WTF! Seriously…people who know nothing about sharks should not be aloud to comment on a public TV station…what a shame this pretty much harmless shark was killed and will now be enjoyed as some sicko soup by pompous asians who want to act prestigious and wealthy…not cool!
I am appalled by the ignorance of this person. There are NO official hammerhead shark attacks on human beings. They eat fish. I have personally swam with two 10 ft. Great Hammerheads and they were the most beautiful animals I had ever had the honour to be near. It’s time to get educated people. These guys aren’t monsters, the people who think they have the right to end this animal’s life are.

SERIOUSLY!!! What reason did they have to kill this shark??? Because it is big, scary looking and cannot do tricks like Shamu??? These commercial fisherman should be FINED and imprisoned for #1. Not releasing the fish before it perished and #2. Not continually checking to make sure they haven’t fished for anything outside of what they were intending to catch and #3. for making ANY profit off of the fins. This should be STOPPED and not broadcast and celebrated. If you want to see sharks, go to the damn zoo and see them ALIVE and well taken care of.
the should be finned HEAVILY by LAW. IN the united states it is illegal to take sharks in for fins alone, plus this animal is extremly rare, i just wish i could have the priviledge to swim with one
