It’s Hot in Oz and The Sharks Are Biting

Temperatures reached nearly 108º in Sydney yesterday, sending people straight to the beaches. At least three people were taken to the hospital with heat exhaustion, but one unlucky dude actually had his hand mangled in an apparent shark attack at Surf Beach, near Batemans Bay.

At about 4.30pm. he emerged from the water with his hand bleeding. According to a lifeguard, there were some distinctive marks and scrapes on his hand.

The man was treated at the scene and went home on his own.
