Still Sharky in Australia

sharks2
Lifeguards had to chase a few sharks, including two great whites, out to sea after they came within about 300 ft of surfers at some Aussie beaches yesterday.

In the first sighting, lifeguards cleared the water and used a helicopter to herd two 6-7 ft bronze whalers out to deeper water off Parsons beach at 4.50pm.

Then they spotted two 7-12 ft sharks, believed to be great whites, at nearby Waitpinga. One was just 120 ft from shore.

When the helicopter returned at around 5.45pm after refueling, fisherman had to cleared from the water as six more sharks (2 hammerheads and 4 bronze whalers) were herded off Waitpinga.
