Shark Survivor Ready to Surf Again

It’s only been two months since 14-year-old Hannah Mighall was mauled by a 15ft shark at Tasmania’s Binalong Bay, but she’s ready to get back in the water.

The teenager admits she’s nervous about surfing again, which probably has a little to do with the more than 200 internal and external stitches she needed after the attack. But Hannah says she loves the beach and has missed being able to surf since the attack.

Hannah’s doctor has given her the all-clear to surf again and she plans to go surfing with friends this Sunday, but not anywhere near the spot where she was attacked.
