Bull Shark Attacks Man In The Bahamas!

Luis Hernandez, 48, is recovering at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami after family members said he was attacked by a shark while fishing in the Bahamas.
Hernandez was spearfishing off the Exuma Islands on May 6 when he noticed a seven-foot bull shark swimming nearby. Hernandez tried to keep his distance (duh) but the shark attacked him after he speared a grouper.
Hernandez’s wife raced over to her husband to rescue him and get him onto their boat.
He was brought to a clinic in the Exumas for initial treatment, then flown to Nassau and finally, on May 8, to Jackson Memorial, where hospital he’s been for the last week.
Hernandez is expected to make a public statement about the incident later today.

When will people learn not to spear fish when they see a shark around? Even if its not close to them they can still smell the blood.
heroic wife saved him, good for them
(somebody needs to work on their paint shop pro skills) lol
He had speared the fish before he saw the shark. It wouldn’t make sense to spear it after he saw the shark swimming around. Then it returned and attacked him twice. I know this since I am related to him.
Its said to say, but some people are not that smart. Hahaha!
HE FORGETS TO MENTION HE WAS ILLEGALLY SPEARFISHING IN THE HARBOUR.
Here is a more accurate retelling of the story rather than a second-hand, mediocre news reporter.

It was a most unfortunate accident… Normally people and animals in Exuma are really friendly! Hope that he recovers soundly.
bullsharks will attack for various reasons. They are the most aggressive and even territorial sharks. I’m glad we don’t have many here in san diego, because I like to surf and swim in the ocean. However, there are great whites (a few here).
It was the shark’s hunting ground and he was trespassing.
i was attacked by a bear and thats the same thing she was territorial she was 1 foot tall and 30 feet wide
