Shark Spooks Swimmers In Delaware!
Thursday, July 9th, 2009

Swimmers were evacuated from the ocean Wednesday after a 5 to 7 foot shark was seen cruising the area.
The shark was first spotted at about 12:30 p.m., just 20 yards off the coast. Officials swept the beaches immediately and swimmers were told to leave the water.
Dozens of swimmers waited on the beach for close to an hour while helicopters flew overhead to monitor the animal.
Officials were unable to determine what type of shark it was.
