Uh-Oh, Shark Attack in Australia Today

A man was rushed to the hospital after being attacked by a great white shark in Australia today.

The man, Paul Welsh, was surfing with his 10-year-old son this morning, close to shore, when the 6 ft shark attacked him in shallow water.

Welsh was left with some deep lacerations to his legs and he has at least one shark’s tooth still in his leg.

Witnesses said Welsh grabbed on to the rocks to try and pull himself to shore and the great white tried to drag him back into the water.

Welsh managed to break free and scramble to shore. His wife drove him to Mona Vale Hospital for treatment.
