Florida Man Is Ga-Ga For Gators

bm_alligator5_714594a
One of my personal favorites, The Sun, posted some badass photos of showman Sean Manning snorkeling with 9 ft alligator. Manning is part of the Gator X-treme show at Miami’s Jungle Island Zoo, in Florida, and apparently has huge balls.

Shark Turns on Teen!

p010
A 15-year-old kid got bit by a shark Wednesday night when he tried to release it back into the ocean. (This isn’t him, but you get the idea…)

The kid had just spent 90 minutes reeling the shark in from the shore at a South Africa beach and was attempting to release it back into the ocean when it whipped around and bit him. The shark swam back out to sea leaving the teenager on the shore with bite marks on both his legs and his torso.

He was taken to a local hospital and was released around midnight.

The moral of the story… don’t touch sharks.

UPDATE: She’s Hooked!

London shoppers were, uh… lucky enough see Alice Newstead suspended from shark hooks for 15 minutes in the window of Lush Cosmetics on Regent Street, London today.

The stunt was part of the company’s campaign to end shark finning, and is supported by wildlife conservation charity Sea Shepherds.

The company is also asking consumers to boycott restaurants that serve shark fin soup and not to use shark cartilage supplements, which are thought to improve bone health.

Man Sticks Arm Down Shark’s Throat!

A man stuck his arm down the throat of a 9 ft grey nurse shark’s throat yesterday to remove a giant fish hook that got stuck in there.

Local divers had spotted the distraught female hiding near Julian Rocks in the Cape Byron Marine Park in Australia and immediately reported it to authorities.

A crew of marine experts from Sea World showed up and Sea World vet David Blyde stuck his arm down the shark’s throat and removed the hook.

You are a brave man, David Blyde.
